About the XNA Calgary User's Group
The XNA Calgary User's Group was started back in June of 2008 by local Calgary software and web developer Matthew Randall with the idea of encouraging the use of the XNA
Framework and Game Studio to create video games in the province of Alberta. In addition the XNA Calgary User's Group was started with the hope it
could also encourage others in Alberta and Canada to start up their own XNA users group bringing game development and XNA to other interested people in their community.
With the generous support of the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) and Microsoft (John Bristowe) the XNA Calgary User's Group has been a great success and
is positioning itself as a centeral point for XNA information and group activity in Canada.
From this site members and guests will also find up-to-date information, valuable website links and local developer samples all having to do with Microsoft's new game development platform, XNA Game Studio and the XNA Framework.
Remember, membership costs nothing and is open to anyone with an interest in the
development of games using the XNA Framework and XNA Game Studio.
The XNA Calgary User's group is always on the look out for new members. If you have a love for video games, the desire to create video games of your own and live
in the greater Calgary area we encourage you to attend one of our meetings and seeing if XNACALUG is right for you.
